Mrs. Margaret Anita Hazelwood
June 22, 1928 – December 31, 2017

Mrs. Margaret Anita Hazelwood, age 89, of Griffin, GA passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Hazelwood was born in Wales, England on June 22, 1928 to the late Moelwyn James and the late Annie Elizabeth James. She was a long time member of the British Wives Club. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harmon Hazelwood, Sr. and son, Harmon Hazelwood, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters Ann Hurst and Mala Edwards, and son-in-law Greg Edwards; grandchildren, Gila Pryor and husband Andy, Audra Davis, “Little” Harmon Hazelwood and his wife Jordan, Josh Hurst, Aaron Hurst, Abbey Edwards, Michael Edwards and Maggie Edwards; great-grandchildren, T. J. Hazelwood, Alora Davis, Londyn Edwards and Trevor Hazelwood.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Anita Hazelwood will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Chaplain Jack Landham will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
