Ms. Sandra Jean Brown
March 2, 1946 – December 1, 2017
Ms. Sandra Jean Brown, age 71, of Griffin passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Ms. Brown was born in Griffin, Georgia on March 2, 1946 to the late Howard Foster and the late Jeanette Virden. She was retired from a career as a lab technician from Spalding Regional Hospital. Ms. Brown enjoyed time with her many friends and family. She was a woman full of joy and laughter.
Ms. Brown is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Alan Cawthon, Ashley and Kenny Wright; son, Michael Killingsworth Jr.; grandchildren, Chasity Karr and her husband Brent, Laura Kate Akin and her husband Chris, Nathan Skinner, Natalie Cawthon, Meghan Clark, Mary Michael Killingsworth, and Clay Killingsworth; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Dillon Karr, Emma Reese Karr, and Jackson Christopher Akin.
The family would also like to thank the staff and nurses at Brightmoor Nursing Center and Brightmoor Hospice for all of the love and care they provided during her time there.
Funeral services for Ms. Sandra Jean Brown will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Chaplain Jack Landham will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
