Mr. Van Perry “Bubba” Manolis

Mr. Van Perry “Bubba” Manolis age 58, of Griffin, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Mr. Manolis was born on February 11, 1959 in Griffin to the late Perry Ted Manolis and the late Charlotte Thaxton Manolis. He graduated from Griffin High School in 1978 and played both football and baseball for the Bears. He went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Gordon College. He worked as a sales associate for Desyne Sales. He had a passion for sports and competition whether it was playing golf, slow pitch softball or watching the Georgia Bulldogs play on Saturday.

Mr. Manolis is survived by his step-daughter, Holly Spencer Presley; step-son, Joshua Spencer; 6 step-grandchildren; sister, Tina Manolis and her husband, Mike Miller of Houston, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Ted Manolis and Lisa of Griffin; Aunt, Myrna Thaxton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service for Mr. Van Perry “Bubba” Manolis will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Dix will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army of Griffin at 725 Meriwether Street, Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Mr. Manolis.
