Mr. Clifford Davis Acree, age 95, of Griffin, GA passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018.

Mr. Acree was born on June 11, 1922 in Meriwether County, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Acree and Ruth Davis Acree; wife, Louise Harris Acree; and brother, Leroy Acree.

Mr. Acree served in US Navy during World War II. He was employed by Stowe-Woodward in Griffin, GA until his retirement. He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church in Griffin, GA and in his later years an active member of Alvaton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Cliffene Acree Stone and William of Jonesboro, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Bob) Acree and Sarah of Alvaton, GA, and James (Jim) Acree and Cindy of Tallahassee, FL; grandsons, Joda Acree and his wife Jessica of Grantvile, GA and Austin Davis Acree of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughters, Jessica Acree of Alvaton, GA, Jenna Acree Gann and her husband James of Griffin, GA, Erica Acree Durflinger of Savannah, GA, and Jessica Gwinette of Tallahassee, FL; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Acree went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by those who loved him, including 3 generations of his family. He passed away within sight of the home he was born in, in Alvaton, GA.

A memorial visitation for Mr. Clifford Davis Acree will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Alvaton Baptist Church in Alvaton, GA.
